Anon -

Rovers are SO related. It's scary how many things that apply to my Disco are identical to what goes on with Defenders, which in turn has so much in common with my Series Rover (my SIII is a poor-man's Defender). And, start comparing a Range Rover with a Disco sometime... yeah there are differences but there are a LOT of similarities, too.

And, MANY people that have one Land Rover, will have another Land Rover of a different type. LOTS of us have a Series along with the Disco, many have Range Rovers with Discos, etc. etc. By having the multiple boards here, we can offer info on other Rovers while maintaining a focus on the Disco. Lots of things that I might know that would be applicable to other Rovers, I wouldn't see posted on D90 or Rangie. Sure, lots of other people know a lot more than I do, but what if they're out of the office that day, and someone needs an answer in order to make it home?

If those sections bother you, just don't read them... you don't HAVE to click on that link, ya know.... :)

IMHO, YMMV....

For what it's worth....
I like hearing from my Rover (Disco and Non-Disco) brothers.

The new boards were created because somebody asked for them. This is still DiscoWeb, but many people have more than one Rover. What's wrong with that? If Anonymous has a problem with that, I suggest he contacts Ho, Kyle or Axel and asks for a refund of his access fees. Oh, wait... there aren't any.....

Very well put, Axel....

FWIW, I'm very appreciative of all of the boards here..... even the ones for vehicles I don't own (the Freelander, Rangie, and Defender)... they're a handy reference so I can answer questions for non-web-surfing friends....

I think Perrone has a rangie. Is this a attempt to remove him from the board. Shame on you I like the non discript hear-say I get from him.

Amen to all my "rover" brothers! Lighten up anon, stop hiding behind your screen name and stop complaining! Until you pay Discoweb access fees, you may shut your mouth up!

Like many others here, I've been intrigued by the Freelander and looking to possibly getting it as a wife's car, as opposed to the current competition. Although, my wife seems to be fixated with the series rigs and she told me she wouldn't mind driving one daily (she doesn't know what she's in for I guess) on a 15 mile one way commute.

I'd definitely rather have one browser window open than having to open other ones or jump from one site to the next just to get info about these other fine 4x4's.

-and that, my friends, is my .02 cents

LOL, Axel! Once more from you, the few and dead-on words of wisdom.

My brother had a D-90 now has a rangie and I have a disco and they are all bad ass cars and we all enjoy working on them and shooting the shit about them. More people just need to know about the new BBS. It should all be in good spirits.

I must give my props to the guys, WAIT THE GODS!, that keep discoweb up and running! Its the absolute best when these guys can keep the site running and we dont have to fork up $$ every month to view it, damn!!! Selfishness at its best! As long as they drive a rover with the green badge, were all the same!

DiscoWeb is the shit! Changes are for the better

Im out.

Hear, hear! And since we appreciate them so much, don't forget to buy your Discoweb stickers/videos here and accessories from expeditionexchange.com

I'm plugging their site because they selflessly spend so much of their time for our informational and entertainment purposes. As well, I believe their selflessness should be rewarded with lots of sales.

Flame on!

Javier
