hey guys, i posted a few weeks ago that i was shopping for a used Disco. well, today i took the plunge and bought one. it's a black '97 SE with 39K on the clock. i got a great deal on it. i have to wait till tuesday or wednesday to pick it up (loan check has to be mailed to me)and i can't wait! i got some good advice and info from this board, so thanks. i'm incredibly nervous, psyched, and happy. this is the first vehicle i've ever purchased on my own.

As the first vehicle you've ever purchased on your own, the Disco will be even more special to you. And now, let the modifications begin - or at least the list of suggested modifications!

The best part of owning the Discovery is its ability off the showroom floor, so take it out with some experienced friends or join a club and learn to really use it.

Erik - thanks for the congrats. i'm a Jeep owner too, so when i was looking to buy, off-road ability was high on the list. my Jeep is for extreme play, but the Disco is gonna get it's mods (when i can afford them) and get trail time too.
