When: Saturday, June 23rd at around 11:00am (leaving Phx in the morning)
Where: start at Broken Arrow Trail, Village of Oak Creek (a couple miles before Schnebly Hill Road in Sedona on Hwy 179)

Broken Arrow is a great trail with lots of orange slickrock to play on. This is one trail that all the pink j**p tours go on. I'm also checking on additional trails to hit while up there. A bunch of us will be camping in Sedona Saturday night.

Blue, does your Disco make it over the big "hump" at the start of broken arrow? I took a rental cherokee over it and almost got it high-centered. Schnebly Hill has awesome views but its not all that difficult. I wish I could join you guys, I think i have a map of all the forest roads in Sedona, i could fax it to you if i could find it, and if you dont already have it. Let me know if you want it.

That big hump is the weed-out obstacle for the trail - stock Disco cleared it just fine (although my hitch scraped once which cause that cute little plastic plug to bail on me). I haven't run Broken Arrow with OME suspension - can't wait to get it on! The hairiest part of the trail is coming down the staircase at the end of the trail - did it in muddy conditions in my old Cherokee (2" lift) and just about lost it. stock Disco handled it just fine - there's a picture of it in my photo gallery next to the pink j**p picture. Schnebly Hill is routinely run by passenger cars (usually rentals with patched oilpans), but the views are great. There are some off-shoot trails to Schnebly Hill - I'm currently researching what trails are open and what's closed right now...fly on out to Phx!

man, I wish it was that easy. Im closing on a house on the 15th, so there will be no fundage for a trip out to Phx. I will be driving out there soon for a little cross-country adventure. we should defintely meet up then...
