Some people are going up there on Sunday and I'm not able to make it.. I was wondering though if they were any good.. I have heard from some that they are just muddy flat dirt roads but a few others say that some spots were pretty fun.. Anyone been there that could give me the scoop? Most likley will go there in the next couple of weekends to take a look for myself.. There seems to be quite a few trails as well..

I'll see if I can dig up the trail report from the group that went on Saturday.. They went on two and said that one sucked really bad (gravel road) but, the other one wasn't so bad. They said it was like Second Mountian or Dictum but only narrower and with like a 400 foot drop on one side.. I'll post the link to it if I can find it. They were also told by the locals that some of the trails were pretty good.. I may go out there on the 7th with a mixed group of people (mostly Jeeps) but, I'm not sure yet..

where is that exactly in relation to DC or Frederick? I live in Fairfax when I'm not in school....so that wouldn't be too far...

It's near Deep Creek Lake in that general area. It is a couple hours drive from N.VA... You also need to get a sticker from them in order to drive the trails. I think it is like 15 bucks. I still haven't been there yet..

The trails are not far from Cumberland, MD. They are *very* boring, completely 2WD and no challenges at all. Green Ridge is very long and has a spectacular view fom 2,000 ft above the Potomac River Valley, it's worth a ride if you have nothing else to do.
Rocky Gap State Park is a wonderful place to stay - whether in the resort or camping. It's linked off the MD DNR pages. The setting is incredible.
