I have to drive right through Hazelton (sp?)PA on
Thursday. I have seem some discussions on trails there. Is there? Does anyone know specific directions? What's my best bet? I have a meeting in Scranton and figure I would have a couple hrs available on the way home. I'm pretty new to this so if it's hard core I would rather wait to go with someone more experienced. I'm just very eager to take my Disco for spin offroad.
I'm sure all of you can understand that!

Dave,

From what I know of Hazleton (Paragon anyway), it's a "pay for play" type deal. And I think they send somebody around with you as a guide. I went there on a dealer-sponsored trip about a year ago, lots of fun, variety of trails difficulty-wise, etc.

Yeah.. the guides that have been on our runs have rode in our lead truck. You tell them how hard or easy you want to get, they point, you drive. The guides (at least the ones I have been with) also are good spotters and usally are pretty good at letting you know what lays ahead before you get to a point of no return on a trail. Trail selection is very robust ranging from the easy going selections to the more hardcore selections.
Definatly check out the site. The park map has pictures of a lot of the trails but there are a lot of new trails that are not on the map and new ones are always being cut.

Chris
