I've heard a lot about the barrens but never been there. I'm in Jersey and it's a shame that I haven't gone. From what I was told it's somewhere off exit 7 in the New Jersey Turnpike. Let me know if you plan to go, we might be able to organize a trip!

Just an FYI for people in the New England Area:
Ringwood trail is closed till further notice. Ringwood is on the border or Bergen and Rockland County (Rte 17 and 87).
I also heard the Mt. Bezak in CT is closed.
I guess our only choices are 1) Pine Barrens in NJ(limited use) 2) Aircraft Road in CT and 3) Wurtsboro in NY.
Just thought I'd share the info.

Been to the Barrens, I know aircraft road like the back of my hand, where is Wurtsboro? Is it good? what type of terrain, good trails?

Wurtsboro is off exit 113 of Rte 17 (Ellenville, NY).
Has a few sand pits and some rock gardens. I would have to say moderate trail.
