Hello,
The new bbs format with all replies on a single page is MUCH more convenient. If I may suggest the following...
1. The two alternating background colors to the topic subject are too dark, making it difficult to read the subject title without straining. How about picking two lighter colors?
2. If a post has no replies the number "1" appears under the "post" column. This suggests that there is one reply. It is clearer if "0" appears here, or, to make it even more readable, just leave it blank until a reply is made.
3. Finally, the main discussion page is already over 220K in size and takes a while to load for us with "typical" modems. How about limiting each page to a certain number of posts and have links on the bottom to go to the next page?
Regards,

Is there a way to archive fairly frequently, which would let the indidivdual topic pages load faster? For example, as more and more messages get posted on the Tech Discussions page, it takes longer and longer to load. Unlike the old page, which loaded the top first, and you could check it out quickly. Not a complaint really at all, just curious. Keep up the good work!

To quickly check the latest messages, just click on "Last Day" in the toolbar on the left. That will give show you a list of the messages posted over the last 24 hours.

If you use http://www.discoweb.org/cgi-bin/discus/board-newmessages.cgi? you can choose your topic & select the last N days' worth.

Or you can click on "New Messages" under Utilities in the toolbar, which give you that same inquiry screen.
