I am a new owner and love the truck so far. Has anyone removed the rear (not jump) seats on a
Disco II? The seats look like they weigh a ton and I figure the spring loading the hinge has a lot of tension. It looks like I could get the seats unhooked no problem but don't know about putting them back in. Also, I have noticed that (at least in Arizona) other Disco drivers don't wave back (like when I had my Wrangler). Is this an Arizona or a Disco thing. Thanks in advance.

Jim,
The rear seats are easy to remove. Just tilt them fully forward, using a Torx male socket, undo the bolts. Tilt them back, prise the carpet out the way, and undo the fronts. Then just lift them out, but don't forget to put the bolts back in the holes or dust and water will come in.
When you want to put them back, it is just the reverse. Yes the right hand side seats are heavy, but just manageable. Just take a bit of care to position them back exactly square, using the impression left near the bolt holes, or they will not anchor down when you push them back down.
Sorry can't help you with the waving.

There are only a handful of Discos around my neck of the woods, and most will wave... shoot, I know probably half of them personally. Once I get out from here into larger metropolis, I see more Discos and most don't wave... not at all like the rare event of running into another Series Rover on the road... I'd almost bet that one Series will ALWAYS wave to another... almost...

Just keep waving to them anyway, if they don't wave back you can say "Wankers", and they will be left wondering "Who the F*&k was that?".

I'm in AZ, too, and most Disco's are owned by mallcrawling soccer Moms who wouldn't know a Disco SI from a SII or a Jeep Wrangler. Also, you're likely to pass 100 Disco's a day on the roads out here (Scottsdale) - I'll bet 95% are of the mallcrawling variety.
P.S. My wife will wave back to you - she's the blonde in the white SI that's covered in mud.
P.P.S. Wave at the D90's - they know where it's at...
