I have a 97 Disco with 65K and am looking to replace the OEM suspension. I need pros and cons of HD vs. MD springs and manufacturers. I recently replaced the OEM michelin 235/70-16 with BFG AT 245/70-16. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I did OME HD front/MD rear springs and shocks. No complaints. Rides a hell of a lot better. I've heard HD is little harsher ride than MD (makes sense), but I could never tell the difference. Do you have extra weight on the front (steel bumper, winch, etc)? Do you carry extra weight in the rear? If so, HD is for you.

OME specifies different weight categories for their springs (i.e. MD is for x additional pounds, HD is for y additional pounds), the additional pounds being heavy equipment or cargo.

Also check out Rovertym Engineering http://www.rovertym.com/
Have only heard GREAT things about RTE, that goes for their springs, too. Also heard great things about OME (who hasn't?), and I had a great line on slightly used springs, so I went OME...

hope this helps

Yeah why are you ripping on Rovertym? I'm running the 2" and the rear trailing arms from rovertym and I can't say enough about how great the ride is now.

Nahh,

I think disco2guy has been quiet because he is "chopping" his Lita!!!

Besides he usually says they are a piece of %$$^ not a "rip off"!

Justin definately is an Rovertym supporter. Different markets, plus John is so nice no disco owner could dislike him.

Ron

I even like SG.
