I need to change my tires and plan to change my springs and shocks to HD. Which tire size should I go for. I drive 80% highway 20% offroad. Thanks

265/75 16! all the way!
you gain in every aspect, and plus, they fit!
(by the way, get HD axles, diffs, and more money!)
hehehe

chomp chomp chomp - that's the sound of lugs chewing on the rear fender.
grr grr grr - that's the sound of lugs rubbing on front radius arms when you try to turn.
blub blub blub - that's the sound of my water bong.
may need to trim with 245. will need to trim more with 265. will lose steering radius with 265. may rub inner side of tire on springs with 265.
245 look cool.
265 look way cool.

235 85 R16
Tall and narra get ya through, and you can still turn around without a 12 point turn.

245/75-16, not unless you feel like spending the $$$ on 4:10 gearing(around $500) and wheels or wheel spacers( around $300 for wheels, $400 for spacers). 265/75-16 is huge, you would need like 2.5" of lift for that. Also, 265/75 is not nearly as strong as the 245/75. 235/85-16 is also a good tire.

MA,
A 235 85 R16 is the same hieght as a 265 75 R16. Yes it is more likely that with the 265 76 R16 that spacers or wide offset wheels should be used but upgrading the gearing is as necessary for 235 85 as it is for 265 75. The advantage of the thinner 235 85 is that it does not rub as much as a 265 75 and will hit the radius arm later giving a better turning radius.
