I enjoy listening music inside vehicle and Discovery is not favorable with her wind and outside noise.
Any suggestion to make quieter Discovery?
Anybody tried sound deadening materials? If they were effective, which one do you recommend and where should I get them and finally which area should I put them?
Any tips for installation?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Upgrade your soundsystem...mabye a better quality amp, and speakers will work....

The fact that you have the windows down should pretty much end any tips that you could possibly receive. Now if you were trying to find effective means of quieter cabin noise with the windows up, then there are sprays also called undercoating, but it doesn't really change the overall sound decibles(sp)...

I'll step aside and see if any one else can offer any favorable tips. I'm not trying to flame you, but you shold expect to hear wind noise with the windows down, especially if you are travelling over 35mph/

Thanks for the tips.
When I said "wind noise", it is the noise when windows are UP.
Has somebody tried Dynamat product and is it helpful? Where are the most effective areas to be applied in Disco?

thanks,

Call Chariots of Fire in California, they make sport/luxury stuff for the Disco. I am pretty sure they make sound deadening. If you want they can give you around 300hp,sport suspension, brembo brakes, 14-speaker 1000watt sound system, a lot of wood trimming and 18" chrome wheels! But that would just be stupid.

sound deaden the wheel wells and renew/improve the door & window seals. If you pull up the carpet, you already have a padded layer underneath...maybe improve upon that, too.

P.S. 300hp sounds cool, the rest is stupid!

yeah...300hp would be good, but they use a supercharger, so that wears down your engine a lot. The supercharger is a Eaton one and it costs around $3000, plus they modify the tranny, fual pump, hood, radiator, thermostat, headers, and exhaust. All in all, it is around $10,000 with installation. You would go 0-60mph in like 7.5 seconds!!! disco
