1997 US Discovery SE

It seems that when the vehicle reaches 70+ MPH there is some sort of vibration (sometimes very noticeable). It apparently is not tire balance issues as the dealer has checked that. I did need a rear drag link (for the steering) and this was replaced which did improve the condition although did not eliminate it. It is difficult to describe the vibration -- it feels somewhat like a wheel imbalance sometimes but more of a vibration (side to side)

Any ideas. What about the steering damper shock. Would this have an impact if it is worn.

Thanks

Check U-joints and for missing weights on the driveshaft. Condition is common with heavy class 8 trucks and usually this is where the problem lies.
