Went to my local dealer (Land Rover San Jose), about a 150 mile round trip, for a replacement part for my '97 disco sunroof. They didn't have the piece I needed (small rotating hinge piece that actually supports the glass when it opens upward), but they did have a "new and improved" version of the entire guide assembly. My problem is, after removing the entire headliner and the guide assembly from mine, they don't look the same and I can't figure out how to attach the glass to the new assembly, nor can I see any real similarities in the old vs. new assemblies. Has anyone out there evre installed the updated version? The Land Rover part number is EMG100192. According to this dealer, it's an update for all Disco 1's.

Replacement part was $92.00. Consists of two guide assembly rails complete with screw cable (or whatever you call the part that spins through the gear drive to open & close the window). Seems like the complete kit for some application, but doesn't seen to be right for mine. Dealer says it is..
