Does a disco 4wheel better than a rangerover classic short wheelbase?

well...
the disco and RR classic have usually the same components and theory...the disco does have simpler electronics versus the EAS RRs, and does have more head room, more storage areas, outside mounted spare...so in some ways it is better...they are virtually the same when it ultimately comes down to it...
BUT:
EAS is expensive!
rear self leveling BOGE sucks!
Viscous coupling center diff is not best for offroad...
enjoy

depends on who is driving...

True..
but Discos are easier to maintain and modify with less electronics and more mechanical stuff than electronics...
(my mum drives a RR...so I am trying not to be too biased!)

Depends on which RRC. If you have a 93-95 then it will be better than the disco as it has rear ETC. Easier to fix, well the 87-88 RRC I feel like I understand way better than the 96 disco and probably a bit more than a 94-95 disco. Also I think the BOGE unit makes the early RR a bit better offroad in their STOCK set up as it allows softer springs (they flex extremely well). When modified well if someone wants to tak about it I am willing to discuss. But, aside from the etc, and the somewhat limited effect of the VCU (not really much of an issue in my book) I would say the best offroad would be 94-95 RRC, but really there is not a real difference in performance, no at all if you install a rear locker.
