When I get out of my truck I'm getting a shock when I touch the truck to shut the door! It does this no matter what clothes or shoes I wear - and I don't have big hair either... Pretty big shocks too! Any solutions?

Man i thought i was the only one with this problem! I shock the hell outta myself every time i get out of my 97 disco. I think my rubber floormats are the culprit. Does this make sense??I dont know, but trying to find a common link.

same problem with a '98.
Static seems to build up even when driving in the rain! I touch the driver window frame with the back of my hand - seems to discharge the static without frying my fingers

This problem was fixed in the Disco 2.

A quick fix is to wet your finger before you get out and place it in the cigarette lighter.

Don't have this problem in right hand drive Disco's, must be something to do with the left side of the vehicle.
