My 97 Disco starts and seems to run fine. Then it stutters and dies after only 10 seconds. I can restart right away and the same thing. It runs for about 10 seconds and dies. I can keep it running after the initial 10 seconds by giving it gas, but it feels like it's running on half the cylinders. I tried to drive it, but it surges really bad when I try to give it any throttle and of course, it dies. I've read voltage from the signal lead on both the TPS and the MAF. They both appear to be working normally (voltage increasing as I open the throttle). However, when I hook up my OBD II scanner (no faults registered BTW), the reading for throttle position stays at 0-1% and the air flow stays at .02 lb/sec regardless of the actual throttle position. ????

Have you checked the stepper motor? See article under FAQ in the Tech section.
