My Disco's passenger-side rear door has been getting worse to rattle... almost sounds as if the door isn't closed all the way.
So I got out a large Allen wrench, loosened up the post and moved it in towards the interior. It helped a little, but not enough. So I moved it a little more... a little better, but still rattly. Now I've moved it all the way to the inside, so it can't go any further, and it still rattles. I tried adjusting upward a little, but it makes the door more difficult to shut, so I've brought it back down to just a bit higher than the original height.
SO...
If the post doesn't have enough adjustment to overcome the rattle, I'm gonna have to adjust on the door's bits instead. Any insights about doing this, so I don't flub anything?? or is it going to simply be to adjust the latch mechanism further into the door, so that the catch will hold tighter?
Thanks,
-L
