I've got a '95 Disc. 5-speed with an RPi 4.6 recently switched from a 3.9 "B" suffix motor (retaining 3.9 "B" serpentine belt, pulleys, distributor, etc.). I wanted to check the timing, but as usual, the factory workshop manual doesn't tell me where the timing mark is located or where I'm supposed to aim the timing gun from.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Norm

The timing mark is on the most front pulley of the crankshaft. I had to sand away some rust to see the numbers. It helps to rub some white chalk on the pulley to make the number stand out.

Okay, I found the timing marks on the crank pulley, but where is the timing arrow/pointer?

It is on the black cover/ or a bracket looking piece, which has a stamped arrow or point. You should be able to see it from the top (btw the fan/ belt). I clipped the timing light trigger on the number 1 ignition wire.

Hope that helps
Ken
