I have a Superwinch X9 and I want to mount it on my brushbar(with a trimmed stock front bumper). Will the winch fit? Will I have to modify anything for this?

Before the smart ass remarks, silly questions, and flames start to fly, could you post what brand of bar you have on there?

I am scratching my head thinking of a brand of brush/light bar that will support any winch.

As stated before it is possible to mount it to the LR brush bar, or rather to mount it and keep the LR brush bar. You have to find/make a winch plate/tray that will mount between the frame rails. Check with BP as I think they may still have the ramsey model for the RR which can be mounted to the disco. Also bearmach makes one and I would concieve that it is relatively easy to take any cj plate, cut it done and fasten it with brackets between the frame rails.
