I am wiring a new cb and was wondering a few things: 1) where is the best location to wire them through the firewall and 2) where are the best places to get the power to the cb itself. (i.e. battery/fuse?)
The cb I has three wires: ground/battery/switched accessory terminal. The last one listed is for memory retention, meaning this wire is suppose to be wired to power that is not turned off/on by the ignition.
Any suggestions are apprectiated.
Thanks~

what type of CB?
there should be quite a few plugs in the firewall that you can use.
the switched terminal can be any source that is off when the key is removed, like the lighter socket.

Take a look for unused fuses on the fuse box inside the passenger compartment much easier than your original idea
