Are there any good functional bumpers out there that are useful AND pleasing to the eye for a Disco II? I've checked a few out and I'm not too impressed with the looks.

Safari Gard makes one, but it is supposedly made for "looks", but I think it is great. It is expensive though. Also ARB makes a bull-bar(bumper) for the Disco 2. It is about half the price of a standard Safari Gard bumper. I think it is less than $700 for the ARB. You can also trim the stock front bumper if you don't want to dish out the $$$$.

Anyone have experience trimming a Disco II front spoiler? I noticed they did it to a new DSII in a 4x4ing article in the Land Rover "Journal" (brochure). Looks good, but I wouldn't want to do a hack job on my new truck!

I have a disco 1 and it was really easy because most of it bolted right off. For a Disco 2, the bumper is one big piece of plastic. go here to see how to cut it: http://www.discoweb.org/bumper

Land Rover has a genuine spoiler made for Saudi Arabia which have a "higher Cut" for the series II. The part number is:DPB 104790, and the costs in the UK is £199,-. This is the same as the one on the TReK version

You can get it from www.thegearshop.co.uk

Simon, I found the web site, but couldn't navigate to find the spoiler. Do I need to contact them? I found some misc. pics of the trek disco II, but they were so small I couldn't see the spoiler.

About the pics...I found some better ones eventually. Does the aftermarket spoiler only come in orange to match the trek DSII?

They dont have it listed on the website, but send them an e-mail and they will get back to you within 24 hrs.

Mr. Jonathan Prowse is the online shop manager and he will help you out.
