Personally like Mobil 1 filters - very heavy gauge canister (like K&N) and good anti-drainback valve for no-tap startups - generally rated high in oil filter studies. Also are "long" style so hold more oil and filter longer/better. I use the Ford small block version. They run about $8.00-9.00 in my neck of the woods.
