My 95 Disco started making these strange noises in the front end about a month ago. On rapid take offs and rapid stops I hear differend sounds, sometimes a klunk and sometimes a click. Any ideas.

Check the bushings and tighten up the bolts on the front radius arms and panhard rod. It's probably one of those.

Ditto for what Axel said - my '93 had similar noises until I had the front radius arm to diff & front radius arm to chassis bushes replaced. Went for rubber on the diff ends & poly on the chassis ends - no problems!

Just a thought - are you sure that it's not drive-line backlash that's giving you the clunks. There is another set of posts on that subject. My '93 has 160,000 kms on the clock and certainly clunks more in the driveline now than it did when I first got her (at 80K). My front end (suspension) clunks were heard/felt moreso at slow speeds when stopping or taking off. When the old diff to radius arm bushes were popped out they had separated the rubber from the steel inner - apparently not all that uncommon for old girls like mine!
