Its annoying. When you slowly turn left or right as if like the steering wheel is rubbing on something.

Mike!
You've probably met a factory installed gnome. It gnomes like this while turning wheel standing still or running slow: gnooomme-gnoooaaaam-gnome-gnooouuuummmmmmm...
Familiar?
Check these things. If they're OK, probably your vehicle is as well:
* Is the hoses for power steering touching anything (like chassis or anything)?
* ATF-fluid: Enough? Feels smooth between your fingers?
* Drivebelts OK?
Guess that would be all, but check your manual on it, there's a section on it in factory manual.
You're not the first and definetely not the last experiencing this annoying thing, but people hav had the gnome as factory installed accessory for years without turning anyone down, so I guess you could calm down - if the things to check are OK.
Hope this helps, Mike!
Frode

Thanks for the input. Its sounds like 'eeeek---eeeek when turning slowly. The sound is coming from inside where the handle for the signal lights and the on-off switch for the cruise control and also lever that adjusts the height of the steering wheel. Seems like something is rubbing inside that area. I hope you know what I mean.

Thanks for the input. The eeeek-eeeeek sound when turning slowly comes from just under the steering wheel. The area where the control lever to adjust the height of the steering wheel, signal light handle, etc. that where its coming from. Thanks again.
