Im worried about this tak-tak sound that last for one minute until it disappears. This only happens when I start my engine in the morning. I checked everything in the engine compartment and it seems tight and okey?
Anyone has the same experience? Im using 10-40W oil. I live in S. Calif.

Could be valve lifters, but I had the same problem....Had my serpentine belt changed, and it went away...
also, you sure you have enough oil in that puppy?

The belt is okey. I have a 97 Disco with 33,000 miles.

I have the same sound but it only last's for about
five seconds in the morning. I have never even looked into it. I change my oil on a regular basis and I am pretty sure it's not a valve noise. any other suggestions???
