Disco Brake Pads | 1 | 03/01 08:51pm |

Hi all,
Does anyone know what type of brake pads my 1995 Disco I has? Metallic, organic, semi? I was told you have to put the same style pads on that was/is on the truck now. Thanks!

They are an all organic compound - organics brake well in low heat (ie: non-racing) apps and dry very quickly when wet (important here on East Coast off-road!). Downside is short pad life, but LR brakes are so easy to change that it shouldn't be a consideration. From exp. - recommend not using genuine pads - use Beck-Arnley soft organics.

The Beck-Arnley pads, are they dust free pads? Would putting semi-metallic pads on my disco damage the rotors?

I use and sell the KVR pads and they are dust free. I have a set on my Discovery with about 40000 miles on the pads, and they are still in good shape. This is the wifes car and not much off road. a lot of city driving (Stop and GO traffic)
Thanks

Cannot say the pads are dust free, but they are not overly dirty either - have not noticed any difference over genuine. Also forgot to mention - cheap - about $26.00 per axle including freight.

Nathan,
I want to get a price on the KVR pads and the Beck Arnley Soft Organics.
How much total for both to ship to Florida 33549.
Thanks...
BTW, Do you accept AMX?

Bruce:
Ricardo put a set of the KVR's on his Disco. He got his from Nathan. Call Ricardo to see how he likes his. I bought a set as well, but haven't put them on yet.
Thanks,
Mike
