Just replaced the o2 sensors (thanks Nathan) and I swear truck feels peppier. Apart from perhaps a heavier right boot any logical tech explanation for this?

Because now your truck is getting a "better" signal from the new sensors to correctly determine the engine's operating parameters. The old sensors could've been sending your computer signals that would cause it to run in a way that gave you bad performance and gas mileage. So how much were the sensors from Crabtree? I'm getting close to needing a couple.

Price was about half of ABPs!
Gas mileage was 12 with a high on a 55-60mph run of 15. Need a couple of weeks to get a handle on new MPG figures
