OK, I know that I can get HD shafts from Ashcroft or from GBR. Has anyone tried getting them made custom for any other places like Moser and what-not? Those places can typically provide custom shafts for 200-300, would be a nice cost savings if they are good quality.

200-300 seems a little low, usually small batches cost much higher. And most of thos companies haven't dealt with rovers so they might have to do a little trial and error to get things right. I would stick to the ashcrofts if you want good, fairly affordable axles. They usually run about half the price of the Maxi-drive brand.
