Does anyone know a good Discovery mechanic in Central NJ? | 2 | 05/29 12:14pm |

I live in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, and Id like to do some work to my "new" 1998 Discovery. I plan to lift the suspension, get some knobby tires and maybe some lights. Do local dealers do any kind of modifications, or do they only do regular service work? Would they be able to lift my truck? Does anyone know anybody that I can call? Dealer or Independent? Ive had some bad experiences with mechanics before, so Id like to get some of your ideas. Thanks! By the way, GREAT SITE!!

Mike Holland and Lars Vigen at Land Rover Guilford are avid enthuiasts. They have lifted Discos for customers in the past. As well as doing things like bumpers, winches, and lights. They are both factory trained and they know these rigs inside and out. Im sure they would be willing to help you out. Give them a call at (203)453-7060.
Here is a link to some of Mikes off-road shots here in CT....good luck

Talk to Brian Jackson, he knows these things inside and out, and has a lot of experience with Discos specifically. He is a regular around these parts and is just getting his business off the ground. He will steer you right and you'll be happy with his work.
