I lost my fuel cap last weekend at a gas station. I want to buy a new one, is there any other place(besides my LR dealer) that I can get one. Any aftermarket solutions?

For a 1990 200tdi a Ford Sierra or Ford Scorpio fuelcap should fit. Mine is a Mitsubishi of unknown origin.

every wal mart (and other place that sells gas caps) I have been to carries one. 5 bucks. But since I don't have a PN you might be best paying 8 at the dealer.

Have been to Pep Boys 2x for new caps. Just tell them the make and year and they will tell you which one to get.

Same fuel cap as an 89 Chevy K1500 P/U. Wal Mart has it...

Go for a Stant which is available at your local car parts store, ie. Kragen, Pep Boys...

The genuine LR cap IS a Stant... at least on my '99 SD... Says STANT across the center ridge, but has a little LR oval printed on it, too.

whats a STANT?

Stant is a subsidiary of Tompkins PLC a UK based multi-national comglomerate that also owns Gates (Hoses and Belts) and Trico (wipers). They manufacture gas caps, radiator caps and other such things for vehicles of all manufacture. They have a substantially greater than 50% market share.

PS I knew that off the top of my head
