While camping this last weekend, I overheated my brakes headed down a long (1.3 ml) steep gravel road with a full load.
As soon as I realized they were getting too hot I put it in 4L and crep to the campsite and didn't overheat them the rest of the weekend.
Is there anything I should do, beside check how much pad I have left?

Overheating may glaze the pands and/or rotors and decrease your breaking power. Too much heat and they may warp. If they don't wobble and still function properly (stop well), then you should be OK. Visual check is always a good idea though and it will give you an idea how much life the pads have left.

Milan,
What do you mean by "glaze"?
Thanks.
