I've just had my fourth oil leak from this oil seal in 4 years. It has been replaced every time and (apart from one faulty seal which failed within a couple of days because of a broken spring) has sprung a leak within about six to twelve months of being replaced.

Could something else be wrong which the seal cannot hold back??

If the vent is stopped up it can cause the pinion to leak...

Groove on the pinion seal surface?
Worn/bent pinion?
Pinion bearing going?
Driveshaft vibration wearing out the seal/bearing?

Just guessing here...
