Got a new noise today! Actually it could have been there a little while but with the radio...
Anyway, most noticeable at highway speeds, only during deceleration/acceleration. More specifically, when moving along, if I let my foot off the gas quickly, an almost grinding sound occurs and will continue until either the vehicle has slowed significantly or I press on the gas again. Pressing on the gas causes the noise to get louder for a split second before stopping almost as if something is catching up to itself if that makes any sense.
Brakes are new, noise does not go away if the transmission is shifted into neutral, or if the transfer case is shifted into neutral (no I didn't attempt to shift it back while rolling along at 60 mph)
It does seem to be more or less to the right (passenger) side of the vehicle, though this could be because my right ear is hearing it, but also the diff is over that way which is worrying me a bit though that would be a good excuse for a Detroit!!
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Need more info:
You got a lift on that truck?
How many miles?
Have you ever changed your u-joints? Are they greased regularly?
Series I or II?
This is a similar description of driveline vibration that a lot of us encounter when we lift our trucks. Look at the old messages for huge discussions on this topic.

Just tipped 88,000
**Have you ever changed your u-joints? Are they greased regularly?**
I have a roto-flex, but visual inspection shows all to be well.
