I have a 95 disco - and the weather strip (gasket) around the rear quarter and rear gate windows is rotting rather badly - any suggestions on replacing or re-conditioning these. I have found them at www.roverconnection.com for not too much cash. Is it something that I can do myself, or should I just have it done in a local shop?

If you find out, let me know, My 95 Disco is doing the same thing.

This is a pretty common problem. A friends started to do crack and he used black silicon to fill in the gaps. It looks pretty good and has held up for a year now.

Thanks,

You can get the two rear windows and the gate window seals for about 150.00

Glass shop install 150.00

Silcon is probably the cheapest alternative to replacement.

I'm the guy that used the silicone.I bought it at Discount Auto.It was around $3.00.It's held up really well and isn't noticable.
I'm trying to keep my money in my pocket for mods.
