I have a '97 D1 with an auto and almost 39K on the odometer. At first, the tach would bounce up and down a little upon start-up. It would be anywhere between 750 and 500 Rpm's. Also, when the gas pedal was pushed you could feel a little bit of a surge like it was going to stall out. Once moving the problem went away. Took it to the dealer and they said it was a faulty MAFS. The Tech reset the ECU to fix it. Now the interesting part. Once the motor is turned over it sounds like it has a high lift cam in it. It, also, still has the initial problem with pushing the gas pedal in and almost stalling. Both go away once moving as before. The tach is set now at about 600 to 650 Rpm's. This seem's low to me. Any idea's on what the problem is or may be? Thanks in advance for any help.
