Recommendations on a place to purchase an extended warranty. And what does it cover? (i.e. engine, trans, clutch, breaks rotors/pads....)

AND

From what I've noticed the gas mileage isn't great. Any tips on modifications that can increase gas mileage and not void the warranty?

Thanks again everyone.

Jason,

Again do some searches to find some answers. A couple other good sites to help with your research are http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lr-discovery and http://roversnorth.com.

That out of the way, there isn't much you can do to a huge lift in mileage. K&N filter has been proven to help with varied results (1-2 mpg for some, none for others). Some also say that running synthetics or performance exhausts (K&N, Flowmaster, Borla) helps as well.

The Warranty is no question

www.roverguy.com

Most comprehensive and extensive I found.

The RoversNorth board is an excellent source for gas mods...etc.

Gas Milage improvements;
1. K&N Filter
2. Synthetic Oil
3. RPI Ignition Amp for distributor models and/or make sure ignition advance is working properly.
4. Magnacor wires and platinum plugs.
5. Set timing on dist models to 10 degrees not 5.
My 94 does 15 city/trailer towing and 18 MAYBE 19 on a long run, no trailer on 89 octane.
