Does anyone have a pattern or specs for a homemade gas tank skid plate?

I have a piece of aluminum sheet that is just the right size and I am starting to think up mounting brackets. I saw a RockWare one sometime ago but can't remember what kind of brackets where where.

I am thinking one on each swaybar mount and one on each of the tow hook bolts, what about the front most side?

I'll try to post something tomorrow. I have exactly what you are talking about, but mine is made from 3/32 steel plate. It mounts to the sway bar and tie-down points, like you describe.
