On those rovers with the advanced evaps system, the tank vent line which leads to the top of the filler neck and then to the charcol canister is closed off by inserting the gas filler nozzle. Inside of the fuel filler neck there is a plastic vent line which vents the tank during the filling process. The line which leeds from the top of the filler tube to the antidribble valve in the tank has a tendency to become kinked. If the line is kinked there is no vent for the tank while it is being filled and filler pumps start acting funny after the tank has as little a 5 gallons. Depending upon the circumstances the line may only need unkinking or it may need shortning where the kinking is caused by excessive length of the vent line.
