I was driving today on teh highway, about 60ish and hear this weird vibration from someplace under teh car...no I didnt run anything over, but I cant tell what it coudl have been. as soon as I backed off the gas it staopped.

heat sheild? if so, where is teh most common place the welds pop?

any other idea's?

no loss of power or performance was noted.

Can you feel it in the truck? (Steering wheel, throttle, seat, etc) See if you can make it happen consistently. Vibration with the driveline under load is often a symptom of the drifeshaft u-joints going bad, and it often happens in the 55-65 mph range. This is often exacerbated if your truck is lifted at all. Read the thread on u-joint part numbers for an idea of this and other things to check. (I'm in the process of replacing u-joints on a non-lifted 98 to solve just such a vibe.)
