Will 235/85/16's fit a Disco I with rovertym 2" lift ???
Any comments / suggestions??
Would anything have to be trimmed??

They are quite tall, but they are narrow!

If you have on the stock bumper with the front spoiler installed, you will probably have to trim the lower portion of the bumper end caps on front. You will also have to trim the rear of the fender on the inside. Neither will be really noticable after you make the modifications.

When you have the taller tires installed, remove the font bumper end caps before going to have the tires fitted. Otherwise, you may end up tearing them off when you turn. The right rear will not rub when driving on-road. Then come home and determine how much you will need to trim. There is a page on this web telling how to fit 235/85s on a Disco. It is most helpful.

I have only seen this done once, so there are probably others out there with better advice.
