Does anyone know where I can obtain the shade (blinds) that goes under the front sunroof in a 97 Disco? I did not have one when I bought my disco but I have seen in in others. It comes in two pieces. You pull it forward and it clips on the forward ledge. Just called my LR dealer who wants over $300 for it. Thanks.

Can anyone tell how to intall them or remove them?

You need to remove the headliner to get them out/in. Otherwise its pretty simple.

No you do not have to remove the headliner!I replaced mine recently because one of the shades had a broken clip. Basically you need to open the roof, stick you head up there ( pretty tight; need a small head )to remove the entire assembly. There are three clips in the assembly that you just pop out w/ a screwdriver. The hardest part for me was getting used to the "old ventian blind concept". I spent more time getting the blinds to retract properly than I did removing/reinstalling the whole shade assembly. It is really easy ! I have an extra sunroof shade assembly (both shades have broken clips but maybe could be repaired ?) that I will send to anyone who needs it for the costs of shipping. Hope this helps. E-mail me direct if you need more detailed instructions.

You dont? Cool. I need to do mine. Perhaps I will get to it sooner now ;-)
The manual says you need to at least drop the headliner around the sunroof. I am glad you dont.

Thanks guys. Now I need to find one. Aaron does not have. Nathan is looking for one for me. BTW, anytime I call Aaron, they promise to look and call back but they never do. I have tried other parts in the past but they never follow up.

Try Brickyard Foreign Auto Salvage in Brooklyn, Indiana. They have a 1995 Disco with front sunroof only. 88k miles good all except for front right fender, hood, bumper. Tan leather interior. They ship and are great to deal with. Also has a nice lightly wrecked RR Hunter. tell them Jake from Indy told you about it. Ask for Bill.
