Okay,
It seems that my truck has come down with the dreaded drivetrain vibrations. I'm going to pull the shafts one at a time this weekend to try and isolate it. One thing I've noticed is when everyone else discribes their symptoms they relate it to speed. Mine doesn't seems to be speed related, but rather RPM related. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear at 1800-2000 RPM my truck gives me the rasberries. If I accelerate hard and shoot past 2000 I hear nothing. If I granny it and let it shift under 1800, again I hear nothing.
The truck is basically stock (rotoflex rear) and under visual inspection everything seems normal. Other than that it's a '95 with an auto box and no lift (yet).
Thoughts?

...or a bad crankshaft balancer, also called a harmonic balancer. It's funny, a Disco is the only vehicle I know that has 2 harmonic balancers LOL The thing ought to run as smooth as an Acura

Harmonic dampener, not balancer! But that's another thread...or two other threads.
Does the crankshaft actually have a harmonic dampener?

Okay I'll make sure the round thingy behind the front axle is tight too, but I don't think that's going to make a difference (or maybe it's too tight?). The more I think about it the less I think it's the driveshafts. Nothing really shakes in the cabin, but something definitely vibrates loud enough to be anoying. I'll check the motor/trans mounts. I'm assuming AB has replacements?
