Hi Gents.
Just got my new viscous coupling/fan clutch in the mail. The Helpful Haynes Manual says "Use Special Tool" to take off the nut. Anyway, I don't have a massive open-end/box wrench collection. I'll swing buy the hardware store/Home Depot etc. and get some. Metric? English? Size? Any guesses so I don't have to go buy 20 wrenches and eliminate by trial & error?
Thanks.

Try 36 mm. It's a bear holding that damn pulley still, but it can be done with a strapwrench. I used a BIG crescent wrench and got it off just fine. Also, it's a normal RH thread. Have fun!

An air chisel or a mongo-sized screwdriver and a hammer will get the nut free in no time. No need to clamp the waterpump pulley. Just put the screwriver on a flat of the nut, and give it a few good wacks.
