I need a little help to find out whats doing on here! There is a clicking noise coming from the front right wheel area of my 96 disco, and I need to find out what it is. It sounds kinda like when a train passes and I think it clicks on every rotation of the wheel, because its clear at low speeds and at higher, its a drone. Land Rover and my mechanic couldnt figure this out, so I am counting on yall! Thanks alot!

Are the lugnuts tight? I changed a shock bushings and was about to take my wheel bearings out and found out it was a friggin loose lug nut.

one more thing, if it's not the lugs - I don't know what kind of rims you have, but I had the same problem with my jeep - the plastic center cap portion of my cheep jeep rim was loose, and would wobble at speed. The clicking drove me friggin nuts until I figured it out!

This may sound wierd but..
What tires are you running ? Are your sure that there are no stones or anything else caught in the tire tread that could make this noise ?
I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a stone stuck in one of my AT tires.

You never know.... Some times we over look the really simple things?? Ever go looking for some thing that was right in front of you the whole time?

OK, I am going to go check the lug nuts and center caps now, I have stock tires and I dont think that its a rock, I have heard it for a while now, though I will check. BTW... the dealer claimed he didnt even hear the noise, when it was very loud and clear.

check the mud/dirt/dust shield. have no idea what the technical term for this part is. but it is located behind the brake caliper. (thin metal shield) it can get loose as mine does and makes that type of sound.
