Does anyone tow anything in the 4k pound range? I'm thinking of towing my Gwagen to some of the further events (I only have 90 hp and it's SLLLOOOWWWW) and wanted to know if the Disco could do it.

Somehow I think the disco towing the G-wagon will be no faster than the G-wagon. Pulling the series the disco aint no speed demon.

Along the same line is 4th gear an overdrive or is it safe to tow in 4th gear. I just have a couple waverunners so I could probably pull those to the lake myself, but for towing in the future I wanted to know if it should be left in 3rd. Seems like the gearing is low enough to use 4th, I just don't want to burn up a trany. The only reason I ask is that I know that w/ Ford trucks you shouldn't pull in overdrive.
Thanks,
Lynden

That's good info. I might still try it when towing on flatlands for the sake of comfort and 'bring-it-home-and-fix-it' convenience. I only do a couple of longer trips a year, the rest of the time I'll drive it there.
