I had my front prop shaft come off last week and did some major damage to the auto case not to mention the hole in the floor. The problem is there is a series of hair line cracks each being 5cm or so in length just above the auto pan. My Landrover guy had a go at sealing the cracks with some epoxy mix but the oil is still dripping. By dripping I mean after the Disco is parked over night there will be a pool the size of my hand in the morning. The Landrover guy reckons I will now have to replace the auto caseing as the epoxy did not work. PLEASE any ideas for sealing the cracks?

Sorry story mate. Cracked metal casings need replacing. Check and see if your Insurance will pay for any of the damage

I had the same happen to mine. But had small chunks missing where it hit. It took the tranny down and took it to a shop where a guy welded the cracks and filled in the holes about 1" in diameter. I put it back up and it worked fine. Although it was some work removing it.
