A few weeks ago, the alternator on my '95 Disc (100 amp Magneto Morelli?) died suddenly, which I replaced with a new one for $40O -- couldn't get any parts to rebuild the old one. The local alternator shop tells me the only thing wrong with the old alternator is a bad voltage regulator. I would like to rebuild the old one as a cheap replacement for when the new alternator goes out, but for some reason, nobody (not even the dealer) has the part.

Anybody know where I can get the stock voltage regulator or a suitable substitute?

According to information on the parts diagram for the Disco alternator A127i (LR #AMR3107) at roverconnection.com, "Manufacturer states that the internal parts of A127i generators are not serviceable separately." Otherwise, you would be able to buy the regulator, rectifier, and brushes like those that are available for the RRC/D90 alternators.

I got the following recently when trying to track the answer to this down. Never took it further

Alternator AMR 3107, rectifier is under development
Alternator YLE10099, rectiier is part # IXR542 & is available at a price of $29.95
Regulator for both units is part #IX128 & is also available at a price of $29.95
If you need brush sets, you would have to send me a used set to try & match up.
I have no listing for any other parts.
