Recently my tranny temp light came on and has yet to go off. I am pretty shure it is not the tranny but possibly a faulty sensor seeing how it is on first thing when I start the truck. If any one has any experience with this or knows where the sensor is located I would appreciate some info thanks.

Been there, done that. The sensor is bad. You can either: 1) replace it for about $120 from A-B, or 2) unplug the wiring harness and just not worry about it.

I've never had a transmission overheat, and I've pulled some heavy trailers long distances. If it gets hot enough for that light to really be on, you'll be able to smell the hot transmission fluid, so that's how I gauge my tranny temp now that I unplugged the sensor long ago.
