I posted earlier this morning.. The 30amp fuse for my rear windows keeps blowing fuses..
This happened like 2 weekends ago and then it went away and i put a new fuse in and they went up.. the problem has not returned...
What is on this circuit that could be shorting?
Can I pull the switch out and check?
Any other ideas?
Basiclly my windows are stuck down and I'm out of luck for the time being, but if you could help I would be VERRRRY greatful!!
Thanks in advance!!

If you can replace fuse & get them to work, pull fuse so they can't go down again.
Sounds like a short somewhere...I had rear wdo ecu go out. Did'nt work, but didn't blow fuses.

I have a problem with rear windows too: mine will operate about half the time, and usually after the truck is on for a while. It does not blow fuses. Any ideas?

That is the window ecu... I am almost positive... check out this little FAQ/tutorial:
http://www.discoweb.org/window/
If that doesn't work it's in the Tech Section under rear window.. if you have a bit of time it appears to be an easy fix..
Hope that helps you out man...

Jake,
Mine were doing the exact same thing. The dealer said they needed to replace the rear window ECU, and said forget it. After I saw the above post, I removed my rear window ECU. Mine had the bad connection in the exact same location as the instructions. A little solder and they were fixed.
Piece of cake. Better than the $400 the dealer wanted to fix it.

I paid the $300 plus to have the dealer fix, the rear windows had been stuck down for 2 weeks and it was raining...that was b4 I found this bb.

does your courtesy delay still work? if not, there is a bad solder joint on the Window Control Unit WCU. once i repaired my board, everything worked again.
really doesn't take too long. i had a pic of where the WCU was, but took me a year before i did the work. now it's all fixed.
