I have found yet another leak on my 94. It leaks on both sides of the car, in front, when going through a carwash. Any ideas where this moisture is coming from? Is there a standard fix for this?

Joe,

Can you be a little more specific as the leaks. Where exactly is the h20 coming in?

My 94 also, but just right side in carwash. I think it's coming from a gap in the w/shield black rubber trim. Will seal and see if it stops.

Is this a trickle down the inside of the windshield in heavy rain or carwashes? It may or may not be the windshield. I have the same thing on my 98 that I can't track down. The windshield seems be sealed correctly with a a good bead on the top, but sometimes water will pool in the lip of the headliner when it rains hard enough. Take note that the visible rubber "trim" isn't really what waterproofs the windshield: it's the goo underneath that that provides the waterproofing. It's pretty easy for water to get under the other trim/seal. One other thing to check are the sunroof drain tubes: blow compressed air down them to make sure they're not blocked (don't use wire as you could poke a hole in the tubing). The non-visible part of the headliner seems to be waterproof, making the actual source of the trickles hard to track down.

ALL leaks show up at the windshield even from sunroofs. Common issue for them to leak

I had this problem...95 disco...

check #1 -- if it's getting wet on the passenger floor, right where they put they're feet...remove the black cardboard "dress-up" panel, above that space, you'll see the heater fan motor, it may look wet or it's screws are rusting, there is a replacement plastic pan that goes under the hood to fix this one...$100. parts and labor.

check #1 -- if the leak is futher forward on the footwell or towards the center console, it may be a clogged A/C drain. See book or dealer.
